The Capital Markets Quarterly Report for the period ended 31 March 2026 provides an overview of developments and performance of Tanzania’s capital markets industry. During the period, Tanzania’s capital markets has continued to demonstrate strong growth momentum, with 44.5 percent increase in value of investment to TZS 72,238.53 billion from TZS 49,998.91 billion recorded as at 31 March 2025. This performance was attributed to enabling policy, regulatory and operational environment that steered the issuance of thematic capital market products including Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Shariah-compliant instruments. The impressive performance was also attributed to public awareness conducted by CMSA in collaboration with other stakeholders in the capital markets which resulted in the increase in local investors in the market.
